pods & site - Facilities |
Our large roofed communal area is ideal for cooking and socialising. It can be partially enclosed to provide shelter from the elements, and houses picnic tables and a large work-surface with two twin washing-up sinks and two under-counter fridges with freezer compartments for ice pack freezing. You will also be able to make use of storage cupboards for food and supplies. There is a large communal brick bbq, and twin sockets for plugging in cooking appliances or to use the twin electric hotplate and kettle provided. Charcoal is usually available to purchase. There is also an outdoor tap here for washing muddy gear.

The lawn provides a great space for kids and adults to run and play - all within easy view of the communal area and Allt Dderw and Bryn-Gwyn camping pods. The shared fire pit to the one side of the lawn is the perfect spot for roasting marshmallows and gazing at the stars overhead on a fine evening. We allow Allt Dderw pod to book a small tent, so this may very occasionally occupy one side of the lawn - otherwise tents are only allowed with exclusive use group bookings so you can be sure the space is all yours. Firewood is usually available to purchase.

You don't need to leave the luxury at home. Our self-contained unisex toilet/wet-room pods boast free hot electric power showers with movable shower heads, and a lockable external door so you have privacy and space to get ready in the warm. They're great for family use. There are two with a shower, toilet & wash basin - one of which has a baby changing unit, and the other is suitable for disabled users. The third doubles as a drying room with a toilet, wash basin and clothes airer/dehumidifier.

"The Bothy" is a re-purposed old pigsty with some indoor benches so you can get out of the elements and find a cosy corner. There's a book shelf with a book swap and some local reference books for you to browse, as well as some board games and playing cards.
|
As well as the information on this website, you will also find a Welcome Folder in your pod (or made available for you at your tent pitch) which is packed full of ideas and places to visit during your stay. There are also some reference books in The Bothy (see above).

There is a shared car park adjacent to Bryn-Gwyn pod. None of the other pods or pitches have parking facilities. If you are arriving on a motorcycle you can arrange to park by the farmhouse on the flat, as the gravel car park can be too steep for motorcycles. There is also a bike rack located in the Car Park.
