WALKS WALKS WALKS Get your walking boots ready - you will be spoilt for choice! If the acres of local hillsides on your doorstep when you're at your pod or tent aren't enough (see the Local Walks page here or the Welcome Folder in your pod when you arrive), there's the Offa's Dyke Path just a few miles away (see here) or the Wye Valley Walk. Then within 30 minutes you can be in the fantastic and renowned Brecon Beacon National Park, or 40 minutes and you're at the head of the Taff Trail, and 50 minutes and you're in the Elan Valley. There also Water-Break-Its-Neck Waterfall and the world wide treasure hunt - Geocaching - to keep you on your toes.
ON YOUR BIKE - ROADS OR MOUNTAINS You'll be a few miles away from Radnor Ring Cycle Route 25, or for mountain biking you will have acres of open hillsides to explore from the campsite including an all-vehicle track that will take you for miles across a spectacular open common (see the Local Walks page here or have a look in the Welcome Folder in your pod when you arrive). Hire some bikes from Drover's Cycles in Hay-on-Wye, and pick up some more local cycle route ideas - or have a look at the "cycle across the Beacons" road route and "The Gap" mountain biking route in the Brecon Beacons. There's also the Taff Trail route from Brecon to Cardiff. Or head to Bike Park Wales in Merthyr Tydfil - UK’s first full scale mountain bike park.
