Things to do from the CAMPsite |
woodland walkFollow the marked route across our farm fields and into the woodland. Bird watching, wildlife watching, sheep watching or maybe even deer watching - take your pick! There will be directions in your pod when you arrive. It's the perfect way to refresh your energy reserves, and we often head there ourselves as it's a truly magical spot!
hillside walksSpace and fresh air are key at Powys Pods, and there are acres and acres of open access hill land waiting to be explored just be stepping out of your camping pod or tent. Follow our maps for some suggested routes (see the Local Walks page here), from a short stroll to an all day trek, so you really can get out and explore. Enjoy the spectacular views, the open skies and the fresh air - you can truly escape it all.
offa's dykeYou can easily join up with the Hay-on-Wye to Kington section of The Offa's Dyke Path by walking a few miles over Newchurch Hill next to the campsite, where you can have tea, coffee and biscuits and Newchurch Church before heading along the route - why not take the Kington route and stop at The Royal Oak in Gladestry for food, or the Hay-on-Wye route and take in some more of the spectacular views?
